ocr: NUCLEAR FACTORY The energy of the Sun is created inside its enommous heat and pressure, in a fusion reaction. (i.e. in great heat and pressure four hydrogen atoms are combined into one helium atom, and thus a large amount of energy is released). This energy tries to escape outwards. Inside the Sun energy radiates, but on the surface the energy moves in streams because the outer layers of the Sun are opaque. On the surface these streams or convections can be seen as granulations, which resemble bubbles.
